Passionate about exploring the world and sharing unforgettable travel experiences, I created this blog to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and discover new destinations. From hidden gems to travel tips, my goal is to make your journeys as exciting and enriching as possible!
Honestly, it all started with watching solo travel YouTubers. I was amazed by their courage and never thought I could do it too. Then, in college, I met a friend who solo traveled—she was the first person I’d met outside of the internet who did it. That was a game-changer. Every time I tried to plan a trip with others, it fell apart, so eventually, I decided to just go for it. Best decision ever.
This is so hard because every place has its charm, but if I had to choose gun to my head, I’d say Barcelona, Spain. The culture, the siesta, the tapas, and how the city always has something going on—it’s just magic. Ask me tomorrow, and my answer might change, though!
That most people are good. With so much bad news in the world, it’s easy to feel like the world is a scary place. But traveling solo, I’ve encountered so much kindness and generosity. Of course, the world isn’t perfect, but my experiences remind me that the good far outweighs the bad.
Bungee jumping in Al Ula, Saudi Arabia! I was absolutely terrified but so proud of myself for going through with it. It was one of those moments where you feel alive in every sense of the word.
I’m a planner through and through. I love having my activities mapped out ahead of time to make the most of my schedule—especially since I’m working with limited PTO. That said, I always leave a little wiggle room for spontaneous adventures.
My neck pillow—though not in the way you think! I take out the stuffing and replace it with clothes to save space. It’s a lifesaver since I hate checking in bags and need all the space I can get.
Oh, for sure. I once missed my flight to Dominica because I told myself I’d sleep for five more minutes. By the time I got to the airport, it was too late to check in. Lesson learned: always check in online! If I had, I would’ve made the flight. Instead, I ended up shelling out $500 for another one-way ticket.
Vienna, Austria. It’s known for being super safe, and while it was lovely overall, I had a scary experience where a drunk man got in my face and blocked my path. It was a reminder that no matter how safe a place seems, anything can happen—especially when you’re solo as a woman. That said, Vienna is still beautiful, and I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Socotra in Yemen—it looks absolutely surreal. Oh, and Antarctica too. Both are just so out of this world.
Don’t listen to anyone who tries to discourage you. Just plan, prepare, and go for it. You’ll be amazed at what you can do when you take that first step.
Immerse yourself in the heart of nature, where every breath feels like a newfound freshness. Step away from the bustle and explore landscapes untouched by time, where the air is crisp and invigorating. As you wander through lush forests, beside flowing rivers, or across serene mountaintops, each breath fills your senses with a purity that only nature can provide. Rediscover the beauty of simplicity and let the tranquility renew your spirit.
I kicked off my solo travel journey right after college at 22, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the ride ever since. Now juggling a full-time job, I’ve made it my thing to squeeze in 4 to 8 trips a year by maximizing my PTO like a pro. Traveling taught me a bunch of lessons, tricks, and the art of travel hacking on a budget, letting me explore more without burning a hole in my wallet. My goal is to empower you to solo travel, and to make travel more accessible to everyone.
I was inspired to start this blog because people constantly asked me how I was able to travel so often and assumed that I had a lot of money. Three main themes that came up repeatedly when people would ask me travel related questions were time, money and solo travel. I am constantly curating content and resources for audiences ranging from those adventurers working a 9-5, those looking to travel solo (especially as a woman), or those just trying to keep those travel dreams alive on a budget. Let’s make those travel goals happen.
